Branding

It’s much more than a logo.

It is how your business presents itself, how people recognise it, how clearly they understand what you do, and how consistently you show up across everything you produce.

A strong brand gives your business structure. It helps your website, marketing, social content, sales materials, internal documents and communications feel like they belong together. It also gives your team something clear to work from.

Sometimes a business needs a new identity. Sometimes it needs a refresh. Sometimes the identity is fine, but the positioning, messaging or consistency needs work. My role is to understand what is missing and build the right brand response around it.

How I approach Branding
Discover Define Design Systemise Apply Guide

Discover

First, I look at the business as it is now. What does it do? Who is it for? How is it currently perceived? What exists already? What is working, what is unclear, and what needs to change?

Define

Next, I help define the brand more clearly. This might include positioning, audience, key messages, tone of voice, values, personality, brand architecture or the role the brand needs to play within a wider organisation.

Design

Once the thinking is clear, I develop the visual identity or refine what already exists. This can include logo design, colour, typography, layout style, graphic language, imagery and the wider look and feel.

Systemise

A brand needs to work beyond one nice piece of design. I create the rules, assets and structure needed to keep it consistent across print, digital, social, web, signage, presentations and internal use.

Apply

The brand is then brought to life across real materials. This might include websites, brochures, templates, campaigns, social assets, documents, signage, office graphics, presentations or sales tools.

Guide

Finally, I make sure the brand can be used properly. That might mean brand guidelines, templates, team support, rollout advice or ongoing creative direction.
